PLAYALONG POMS WALES

Brief background History about my life with dogs

My name is Pat Philips and I live in a small village approx 12 miles North of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.  This website brings together my three main hobbies: Pomeranians, photography and music.  I have been involved with animals for most of my life and started exhibiting (horses) about 40 years ago.  Just over 30 years ago we purchased our first Border Terriers and showed  the breed very successfully for a number of years.  In 1984 we purchased two Pomeranians which were kept purely as pets.

Eventually, when my only remaining Border Terrier passed away in 1996, I bought my first show Pomeranian, Veltuds' Gossip Column at Playalong, (Luke) and since then have been dedicated to these fascinating, ultra intelligent little characters.  Most of my Poms have qualified for Crufts at some stage in their lives.  Five of them have gained KC Good Citizen's Awards Bronze awards, 2 have passed their Silver Tests and Wolfie is a Gold Award holder.  He has now progressed to Competitive Obedience.

There is a slideshow outlining my 40+ years with dogs, on my VIDEO PAGE. Also one of The Playalong Poms Relaxing and Playing at Home, which has had over 5000 hits on YouTube
